Boys Varsity Swimming · Boys Swim Team Wins MIC Championship


Saturday the boys swim team brought home the MIC championship trophy.
It was a tough close meet. The boys had an outstanding day and were
able to hold off Maconaquah and win their second straight conference
championship.

Matt Duke was part of 2 winning relay teams and won the 200 IM and 100
butterfly. Along the way he set a new meet record in the 100 butterfly
(:52.18). His lead off swim in the 200 freestyle relay set a new meet
record for the 50 freestyle (:21.80), and with the help of Connor
Hill, Josh Jansen, and Josh Everetts, the team set a new meet record
as well (1:32.16).

Jim Kelly, Reggie Manuel, Matt Duke, and Tyler Schorm won the 200 medley relay.
Reggie Manuel won the 100 breaststroke.
Chris Kirkendall took second place in the diving and set a new school
record for 11 dives. (386.80)

Also taking second place was Connor Hill in the 50 and 100 freestyle,
Josh Everetts in the 200 and 500 freestyle, Jim Kelly in the 100
backstroke and the 400 freestyle relay team of Connor Hill, Josh
Jansen, Josh Everetts, and Reggie Manuel
