MIC Boys Cross Country

The Western Boys Cross Country team turned in a dominating performance last night at the MIC race placing all 7 runners in the top 11. Matt Grider was in good enough shape to still take second-place in 17:05. Teammate Riley Carter took fourth in 17:31, Caleb Maddox was fifth in 17:40 and Auston Davenport was seventh

MIC Girls Cross Country

Congratulations girls’ cross country for a 2nd place finish in the MIC meet last night. Special congratulations to Nicole Hampshire and Emma Nixon for their all conference titles placing 5th and 7th respectively. Sam Luginbuhl and Jama Claxton finished in 12th and 18th while Cora Johnson, Taylor Nunan and Shelby Hulka rounded out the runner

Girls Soccer Sectional

The Western Girls Soccer team begins Sectional play Thursday, October 10th at 5pm.  The Panthers will play Mississinewa.  If they win the team will play Saturday at 7pm in the Championship match.  The sectional is hosted by Kokomo High School.

Boys Soccer Team Advances

The Western Boys Soccer team beat Kokomo last night for the second time this season 1-0.  Nic Bewley assisted Chris Root for the lone Panther goal.  The Panthers advance to play Logansport on Wednesday at 7pm.  The match is at Logansport.  If the team wins tomorrow they will play in the Sectional Championship on Saturday

Boys Tennis Sectional

The Western Boys Tennis team (9-11)  begins sectional play tonight at Kokomo versus Eastern (8-7), the match starts at 4pm.  The Panthers beat the Comets earlier in the season 3-2.  Leading the Panthers is number 1 singles player Judson Quinn.  Judson is 16-1 on the season and number 2 doubles Caleb Howard and Luke Florek

Boys Soccer defeats Hamilton Heights

The Varsity Boys Soccer team defeated Hamilton Heights last night 4-1 in a key MIC match up.  Chris Root scored back to back goals early in the second half to put the Huskies away.  Mason May and Nic Bewley added goals for the Panthers.

Boys Soccer Defeats Peru

The Boys Soccer team used first half goals from Noel Ives and Zac Simpson to take down Peru 3-0.  The Boys next match is Thursday, September 26th at 5:30 vs Hamilton Heights.  The match is at Western.

Girls Golf Team Advances to Regional Play

The Girls Golf team finished in 2nd place Friday at the sectional.  Shelby Schave, Natalie Newlin and Minka Gill all scored an 87 to lead the Panthers.  Hattie Johnson shot a 103 and Sophia Frazier a 108.  The Girls compete in the Regional at Battle Ground Golf Club Saturday morning, tee times start at 11:00am
