Knepley to play in North-South All-Star Game

Senior Tyler Knepley has been selected to play in annual Indiana Football Coaches Association North-South All-Star game. Knepley will play safety for the North team, which will be coached by Western graduate Bret Colby. Tyler wrapped up an outstanding career by being selected 1st Team All-Conference, Kokomo Area Player of the year, 1st Team AP

Panthers prevail over Tippy Valley

The panthers came away with a win this past Friday night against Tippy Valley, 21-14. The defense had an outstanding game lead by captain Nolan Stout. Josh Hozey, Andrew Ault, and Ricky Bearden. Nolan and Ricky both had turnovers in the game for the panthers. Special teams were the difference in the game.  Reed Hubbert

Football vs Frankfort

Panthers lost a tough game to Frankfort Friday night, 38-29. The Panthers took the lead in the 4th quarter but quickly gave it back to the Hot Dogs. We played extremely tough all night, just too many mistakes cost us in the end. Sophomore QB Tyler Knepley was 12-30 for 116 yards 1 passing TD

MIC All Conference Awards

The MIC announced their All Conference Athletes today.  Below are the Western athletes who received All Conference recognition. Boys Cross Country – MIC Team Champions.  Matt Grider, Riley Carter, Caleb Maddox, Auston Davenport, Austin Elliott and Mark Boss. Girls Cross Country – 2nd Place MIC.  Nicole Hampshire and Emma Nixon Football – MIC Team Champions. 

Football Sectional vs West Lafayette

West Lafayette’s Football Field is not located on the campus of the High School.  The Field is located at 1000 Cumberland Avenue, West Lafayette.  If you are going West on Sagamore Parkway (U.S. Hwy 52) towards West Lafayette, you will cross the bridge, go up the hill and turn right onto N Salisbury St.  Go

Football Team Claims Share of MIC Title

The Western Football team captured a share of the MIC Championship Friday night by defeating Lewis Cass 23-8.  The Panthers (8-1, 6-1 MIC) will share the league title with Hamilton Heights, who Western beat head to head.  Western last won a share of the MIC title in 2011. The Panthers will play Mississinewa this Friday
