Girls Golf 2nd at MIC Tournament

The Girls Golf Team finished 2nd in the MIC Tournament Saturday losing to Northwestern by 1 stroke.  Minka Gill – 85, Lauren Tuchscherer – 91, and Shelby Shave – 87 earned All Conference honors.  Sophie Frazier – 104  and Tori Gingerich – 109 rounded out the Panther lineup.  As a team they shot a 367.

Western Golf Invitational

The Western Girls Golf team competed this past Saturday in the Western Invitational.  Twenty teams, including Ohio Kent participated.  Western finished 7th overall against very strong competetion.  Senior Shelby Schave paced the Panthers with a score of 81.  Kasey and Kory Nielson from Ohio finished 3rd and 5th overall.  Their grandfather, Doc Humphrey founded the

MIC All Conference Awards

The MIC announced their All Conference Athletes today.  Below are the Western athletes who received All Conference recognition. Boys Cross Country – MIC Team Champions.  Matt Grider, Riley Carter, Caleb Maddox, Auston Davenport, Austin Elliott and Mark Boss. Girls Cross Country – 2nd Place MIC.  Nicole Hampshire and Emma Nixon Football – MIC Team Champions. 

Girls Golf Team Advances to Regional Play

The Girls Golf team finished in 2nd place Friday at the sectional.  Shelby Schave, Natalie Newlin and Minka Gill all scored an 87 to lead the Panthers.  Hattie Johnson shot a 103 and Sophia Frazier a 108.  The Girls compete in the Regional at Battle Ground Golf Club Saturday morning, tee times start at 11:00am
