Boys Soccer Finishes 5th in Hoosier Conference

Congratulations to the Boys’ Soccer team for winning both matches on Saturday to secure a 5th place finish in the tournament. Overall tournament record was 3-1! Western defeated Lafayette Central Catholic 1-0-Brady Crowell scored the lone goal. The afternoon game was a rematch between Western and Tipton. Boys Soccer team Advances in Conference Tournament

Congratulations to the Boy’s Varsity soccer team for winning their opening Hoosier Conference tournament match last night! After a 1-1 tie at the end of regulation, Western defeated Delphi in the shootout, 6-5. Scoring for the Panthers were Charles Padgett, Connor Rezo, Micah Bickford, Braden Crowell, Carson Nuss and Caleb Bewley. The Panthers play Northwestern at Lafayette

Boys Soccer beats Maconaquah

Congratulations to the Boy’s Varsity and JV soccer teams who had convincing wins last night over Maconaquah. Varsity won 9-2! Scoring for the Panthers was Connor Rezo-4, Brayton Woolley-2, Brady Crowell-1, Kevin Cox-1 and Alex Knight-1. JV won 6-2

MIC All Conference Awards

The MIC announced their All Conference Athletes today.  Below are the Western athletes who received All Conference recognition. Boys Cross Country – MIC Team Champions.  Matt Grider, Riley Carter, Caleb Maddox, Auston Davenport, Austin Elliott and Mark Boss. Girls Cross Country – 2nd Place MIC.  Nicole Hampshire and Emma Nixon Football – MIC Team Champions. 

Boys Soccer Sectional

The Varsity Boys Soccer team ended their season last night in a heartbreaking loss to Logansport.  Both teams were scoreless at the end of regulation.  Over time rules in Soccer call for two 7 minute halves, at the conclusion of overtime both teams remained scoreless.  Next each team received five penalty kicks, at the end

Boys Soccer Team Advances

The Western Boys Soccer team beat Kokomo last night for the second time this season 1-0.  Nic Bewley assisted Chris Root for the lone Panther goal.  The Panthers advance to play Logansport on Wednesday at 7pm.  The match is at Logansport.  If the team wins tomorrow they will play in the Sectional Championship on Saturday
