Girls varsity soccer dominated in their 18-0 win over Maconaquah last night. Emma Harbaugh had 5 goals and 3 assists, Courtney Pitzer had 3 goals and 2 assists, Emily Davis had 3 goals and 1 assist, Jenna Seaman had 1 goal, 1 assist, and 6 saves as goalkeeper, Alex Parr had 1 goal 1 assist, Kayli Croddy

Girls Soccer vs Hamilton Heights

Girls varsity soccer lost 2-7 in a hard fought, well-played game against Hamilton Heights. Sarah Connolly had 2 goals, Jenna Seaman and Emma Harbaugh each had an assist. Kelcee Cochran played an outstanding game with 24 saves on the night. The defense recorded 14 clearances, 9 intercepts, 13 tackles, 3 blocked shots, and 3 defensive headers.

Girls Soccer vs Twin Lakes

The girls varsity soccer team lost last night against Twin Lakes 3-6. Jenna Seaman had one goal and one assist. Courtney Pitzer had one goal. Sarah Connolly had one goal. Faith Lytle had one assist. Emma Harbaugh had one assist. Alex Parr had an assist. The defense combined for 8 clearances, 15 intercepts, and 20 tackles.

Girls Soccer beat Logansport 8-0

The Girls Soccer team moved to 1-1 with an 8-0 win over Logansport Thursday night.  Sarah Connolly scored 3 goals, Jenna Seaman had 2 goals, Lauren Abney and Holly Granfield each scored once.  Cybil Johnson had 7 saves including a penalty kick save.  The team plays Monday vs Peru, at Western.

MIC All Conference Awards

The MIC announced their All Conference Athletes today.  Below are the Western athletes who received All Conference recognition. Boys Cross Country – MIC Team Champions.  Matt Grider, Riley Carter, Caleb Maddox, Auston Davenport, Austin Elliott and Mark Boss. Girls Cross Country – 2nd Place MIC.  Nicole Hampshire and Emma Nixon Football – MIC Team Champions. 

Western Girls Soccer Season Ends

The Western Girls Soccer team lost Saturday night in the Sectional Championship to defending champion Marion 7-0.  The team finished the year 9-6.  Graduating from the team are seniors Emily Hawkins, Chassidy Lenn, Cheyenne Rayl, Bre Buckalew and Tricia Hayes.  The Panthers will build around returning player Cybil Johnson, Sarah Connolly, Courtney Pitzer, Emma Harbaugh
